The RFDC Boys Scout Pack of 747 went on a fishing trip on January 24,2004. We went fishing at the Sacramento River on Freeport. The weather was great and the river was calm. The boys had a great time learning how to fish and all the skills involving fishing. They learned how to tie a hook and a sinker. Afterward they learned how to cast. The boys who went were: Cody Sims, Isaiah L. Gibson, Leon L. Gibson, Ameil O. Owens, Dylan Vogt, and Otto Vogt. We also had two visitors who attended the fishing trip. They are Kong Meng Yang and Robert Yang.

The fishing trip gave parents a chance to spend quality time with their kids. Our parents who attended the fishing trip were Leon Gibson (the father of Leon Jr. and Isaiah) and Tina Owens (the mother of Arneil).
The fishing trip gave those kids who never had a chance to go fishing or go out and explore. Like cadets Cody and Ameil who never been fishing, now they can say "Ihave been fishing." We all had great time fishing. Although Robert was the only onewho caught a fish, every body still enjoyed the trip.
