Environmental
Awareness Program
The program
will consist of three unique components that will give our youth an opportunity
to expand their knowledge of the environment.
Education
is the key
We believe the support of our youth is crucial to the long-term conservation
of our local area biodiversity so we have devised a program to teach students
about the history, geography and life science of the Sacramento area.
Field
trip and exploration
The new environmental awareness program will give students an opportunity
to learn about aquatic life while completing some hands-on educational projects
involving wildlife and water.
“Help
us get our boat afloat”
The best projects are those that seek to maximize public participation in
their design, construction, and stewardship. That is exactly what we plan
to do with our new “Help us get our boat afloat” project.
We will involve students, teachers, school administrators, community members, design professionals, and other interested individuals and organizations in the rebuilding of our 30-foot boat.
Environmental
Awareness Program Wish list

and painting our new boat. Can’t pound a nail, swing a paintbrush, or
