About
the Staff
The staff at the Roberts Family
Development Center is a diverse group of college graduates and college students.
We share in common the Board of Directors and Co-Founders Vision for the Roberts
Family Development Center and the community in which we work.
Blia Moua
Education Director. Blia
Moua received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and her CLAD
Teacher Credential from California State University, Sacramento. Currently,
she is continuing her education in the Social Work graduate program. Blia
believes that it is through continuous support and commitment that a child
succeeds. Her favorite quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt, “Do what you
can, with what you have, from where you are.”
Daphne Burgess
Special Project Coordinator.
Daphne received her Bachelor's Degree in art and has performed art training
through the Regional Occupational Program (ROP). She currently has taken on
the role of Special Project Coordinator, which involves program planning,
and resource development.
She is excited about the endeavor and enjoys being a part of the RfDC family.
Elmo
Paige
Computer Technician/Instructor. Elmo is proficient with many
Microsoft products such as Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP and other
software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Elmo is
a Cisco Certified Network Associate.
Derrell Roberts and Tina Roberts
Co-Founders Derrell and Tina Roberts are respected community leaders who have
proven track records in community-based organizations. Between them they have
more than twenty-five years of well-documented community experience and success.
Thgey have been executive administrators in some of Sacramento’s most
visibe non-profit agencies – Nia, The Birthing Project, St. HOPE Academy
and the Salvation Army Community Center. Individually they are uniquely qualified
to undertake and succeed in a project of this magnitude. Together with their
dedicated staff of professionals they form an unbeatable team destined to
make an impact within a community in need.
